An expansive music theater sketch with microtonal brass music and an intense pull.
Inspired by the "intelligent ocean" in Stanisław Lem's "Solaris," this evening takes advantage of the multilevel architecture of the Theater at the Delphi. The three brass instruments communicate with each other from three lighthouses through a morphing sea of fog. The microtonal music of Zinc & Copper and the intense staging develop an immersive maelstrom.
Pytho, that's how the city of Delphi, world-famous for its oracle, was once called after the great earth dragon Python. In the music theater series of the same name, the retro-futuristic ensemble gamut inc develops staged concerts and music theater situations in cooperation with artists of various genres. The four short, sketchy music theater ideas each reflect a formative aspect of Theater im Delphi.
