DER STURM!

Shakespeare Company Berlin

A stirring Shakespeare classic about the difficulty of forgiving, the courage to be great - and about the power of theatre itself. In German.

With a simple stage as an island, on which Prospero stages an experimental arrangement by Ariel to force his victims to repent, the royal entourage encounters its own abysses. The figures, in timelessly modern costumes, cannot be located, but could encounter each other anywhere in the world with their utopias, rivalries and vanities. Here they are juxtaposed mercilessly, creating absurd slapstick and musical comedy. www.shakespeare-company.de
