Michael Praetorius and a secret language from the 17th century?

lautten compagney BERLIN

*Michael Praetorius (1571-1621) – a musician at the crossroads between the Renaissance and Baroque
Paretorius was one of the most important and interesting German composers of the 17th century, and also a master of transition and synthesis. His Syntagma musicum is the best preserved encyclopedia of early baroque music.
For the :lounge a selection of Praetorius’ various works will be presented with modern sounds.

An unusual guest will visit this lautten compagney :lounge digital: the KLANGUSTE! The tiny and curious crawfish, arrives unannounced at the Theater im Delphi and takes a look around: she meets the musicians of the ensemble and discovers their historical instruments, asks a lot of questions and learns curiosities about the lives of the composers.
Beginning in July, information from the most recent lounge will be conveyed playfully and almost incidentally in 15-minute movies that make baroque music accessible to children through exciting and entertaining stories.

The :lounge takes place live with an audience, is simultaneously available digitally in a livestream and afterwards On Demand on the YouTube channel of the Theater im Delphi.
