ALLES | was wir haben

syn:format

A production of the award-winning German-Syrian theatre collective syn:format. Five young actresses play against the shadows of the past and the shadows of an uncertain future that calls them (and us) to action. But how to start in a present where everyone is alone?

With great courage for vulnerability, the play exposes individual and social pain points, tells of loneliness and fear as well as of the future-oriented longing for support and human closeness in an over-complex world.

"I cannot even imagine the future. So how am I supposed to build one?"

"ALLES | was wir haben" (EVERYTHING | what we have) is the first production of syn:format, in which Syrian as well as German actors participate. Locked up in their own world and not even at home there, they give impulses for the creation of a future society based on solidarity and equal rights with their joint interaction.

The theatre collective, which was awarded the 1st prize of the Farbenbekennen Award by the Berlin Senate in 2018, was founded in the winter of 2015/2016 on the initiative of young men who had fled their homes in a Berlin emergency shelter. With no institution behind them, they developed the "Trilogy of Arrival" together with young Berlin theater makers and new members of the ensemble, including fugitives from theater and culture. Their last part, "FREIHEIT", was performed with great success in 2018 and 2019 at the Theater im Delphi.
