A new format of collaboration between composition and interpretation. To this end, the trio has invited composers and sound artists from different musical scenes to compose a soundtrack with minimalist specifications: Midori Hirano, Julia Mihály, Christoph Ogiermann and Kirsten Reese.The sonic presence of the soundtrack very concretely defines the aesthetics of the work and provides a sonic direction and context. In doing so, the audio track can process a wide variety of heterogeneous materials, cite sound sources and musical styles, use complex synthesis techniques, incorporate language and texts. The setup of a playback tape to live instruments, chosen here as a new endeavour, draws a bow, not without irony, to the historical pieces of the avant-garde of the 1950s and 1960s, the classics of new music and acousmatic music by Edgar Varèse, Bernard Parmegiani or Luigi Nono, for example.

Lange//Berweck//Lorenz is a Berlin-based trio for electroacoustic music. Founded in 2014, the collective's projects pursue the realization of electronic scores, the restoration and (re)performance of electronic works from the past, and the collaboration with contemporary composer:s on new pieces. Today Silke Lange, Sebastian Berweck and Martin Lorenz present themselves as a trio on stage with a laboratory of analog and digital synthesizers and machines, the live performance on the instruments is enhanced by video and light design.
