The ‘Li-Be für die Stadt’ tour makes its last stop in 2024 - and it's going to be festive once again! Florian Werner presents the new volume ‘Meine bessere Hälfte’ and talks to outstanding performers from pop, jazz and classical music who talk about their very special relationship with their favourite instrument.
An instrument is a formative part of life: this is true for anyone who enjoys making music, but especially for professional musicians. They spend thousands and thousands of hours with it, know every nook and cranny of its sound, have shared routines - and of course memories: of early childhood lessons, of shared successes, of traumatic failures.
At the book premiere, four of them will be introducing their companions in person: Frank Spilker from Die Sterne remembers his first guitar. Peter Licht talks about travelling through India with his sitar. Masha Qrella talks about her mandolin and other companions. And singer Balbina philosophises about the most enigmatic instrument of all: the human brain. Of course, some of the ‘better halves’ will also be heard and seen.
