ANTIPODES connects Berlin, Luxembourg and Lyon through music: 7 world premieres by young composers span an arc - not only between cities and musicians, but also between their scenes, their young talent and their musical impulses.
The ensemble of ten musicians from the ensembles Kollektiv Unruhe and Ensemble Orbis will perform world premieres from their own musicians as well as three miniatures by composition students from the universities and conservatories in Berlin, Luxembourg and Lyon.
The works by Ilona Perger, Demian Rudel Rey, Ádám Bajnok and Daphné Hejebri as well as the miniatures by Eneko Lacalle Berasategi, Yann Windeshausen and Victor Gallardo promise a breath of fresh air in new music and maximum musical enjoyment.
The concert in Berlin is the starting signal for the planned concert tour, including stops at the rainy days festival in Luxembourg and the Salle Garcin in Lyon.

KOLLEKTIV UNRUHE is a Berlin-based collective of composers and performers that always sees its projects as an open-ended collaboration process between artists from a wide range of artistic disciplines. The collective stands for a musical practice that shapes the conditions for its own artistic work in a self-organized and self-responsible way and always wants to cross the boundaries to other art forms and scenes.
The ENSEMBLE ORBIS specializes in the creation of music. The ensemble is characterized by a variety of represented aesthetics and the will to develop multidisciplinary projects. Starting from an innovative instrumentation: flute, saxophone, accordion and percussion, the ensemble develops a logic of variable geometry that multiplies the sound possibilities and joins a dynamic and creative contemporary repertoire.
