A team of five musicians prepares for a possible farewell from earth. Is it really time to say goodbye? If so, why don't the feelings match the seriousness of the situation? Why are the tears not flowing? Is there something wrong with the farewell ceremony? Or is it perhaps time to get re-grounded?

Gustav Mahler's "Abschied" from "Das Lied von der Erde", electromagnetic sounds by Marta Zapparoli, funeral marches and concrete sounds of the planet are the ingredients for fresh musical compost. With the help of tools such as antennas and contact speakers, the performers stretch out their feelers as far as possible into the macro- and microscopic, searching for new perspectives and appropriate emotions. Amidst old postcards, rotting flowers, sunsets and drinking songs, perhaps a farewell will be celebrated that no one actually wanted to celebrate. However: Cheers!
