ensemble mosaik

Concert approach and coming together of music, text and language.

The focus of the second part of the concert trilogy UpToTen is on text and language. Actor and speaker Jakob Diehl, baritone Fabian Hemmelmann, and author and speech performer Michael Lentz, together with ensemble mosaik, premiere compositions by Sebastian Claren, Irene Galindo Quero, Enno Poppe, and Martin Schüttler. Text can appear embedded in a large glissando or as language, transferred into the sound utterances of a Frankensteinian animal-human automaton, or as poetry connecting parallel worlds through inner dialogues. An exploration of language, sound, and textual imagery.

In the UpToTen trilogy, up to ten musicians, composers and artists from visual and performing fields explore selected themes. The third part CONSTRUCTIONS will deal with instrumental extensions.
