DRAMEN DER GEGENWART #1

Festival für zeitgenössische Theatertexte

Präsentiert vom Verband der THEATERAUTOR:INNEN

Dramen der Gegenwart #1 marks the beginning of an annually recurring festival series on contemporary theater text. The festival presents the diversity and vitality of contemporary theater text production beyond competition or new discovery.

The festival kicks off with a poetic impulse on contemporary drama by Katja Brunner. The focus will be on the presentation of six staged texts - read by the collective of the featured authors.
The texts will be nominated by six patrons, who will each contribute their expertise and present a favorite text + author in the context of Dramen der Gegenwart #1: current theater texts, dramatic (re)discoveries, stage texts that have been unjustly little performed in the past.
The Pat:in introduce the six selected texts with a short hymn.

With texts by:
Uta Ackermann ("Ich Bin Doch Cheops")
Antigone Akgün ("The Last Feast")
Lilly Axster ("Stolen Sea")
Amir Gudarzi ("The Assassins' Castle")
Christina Esther Hansen ("In The Leisure Center Of Truth")

as well as

Selected & presented by:
